About the Teacher
Richard Leirer is one of the most experienced and accomplished Qi Gong teachers in the US. The Chinese term Qi Gong means mastery of energy, and Richard Leirer is truly an American Qi Gong master. He has been a very serious student and practitioner for over 30 years.
- One of the first Americans to study Qi Gong healing. For over 30 years he has studied with major Chinese masters.
- Richard has created programs and maintains a medical Qi Gong practice in hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
- Scientists with the Lerner Research Foundation in studies on Qi Gong masters found that Richard Leirer could produce healing brain patterns at will.
He was accepted as a student with Masters Huang Tseng Yue, Lee Henn, Hao Tien You, Grand Master Hu Wei Yu, and was selected by Master Zhong Hong Bao to carry on his lineage. He has been officially recognized as a Master by the Chinese Qi Gong Society of Cleveland for his excellence in Neigong (Taoist inner alchemy meditation techniques). He studied in China and was certified as an instructor of Wu Ji Qi Gong by the late Master Zhu Wei from Tien Tai Mountain.
Richard has actively promoted Qi Gong in the United States. He was the founding vice president of the National Qi Gong Association (NQA).
He has created and maintains a Qi Gong program for pain management at the world famous Cleveland Meridia Hospital, and has conducted classes in most of the hospitals in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area. Richard created programs and conducted research studies with the Cleveland VA Hospital with Viet Nam war veterans and published his findings in the International Medical Qi Gong Journal in Beijing, China and had his research presented in porter form at the Midwest Psychological conference in Chicago.
Richard Leirer was one of the Qi Gong masters to be tested by scientists with the Lerner Research Foundation and it was found that he can change his brain patterns at will into what has been called the healing patterns of the brain.
