28 Lunar Houses Qigong
From the Emei Zhen Gong tradition comes this 28 movement series related to the 28 lunar rooms, houses, or constellations observed by the ancients. These 28 lunar houses played a core role in ancient Chinese culture. These constellations were considered universal spirits in the sky by the ancient Chinese sages or Wu (the great shaman in English). Each movement in the form is related to each of these constellations, parts of the animals, the dances of the animals. These Qigong movements (and all others) are rituals relating to the movement of the Tao, (universal presence) as transmitted by the ancients to keep and hold the understanding of the Way.
